Mattress Change in 2015 3440RL

Looking for someone with a 2015 3440RL who has replaced the OEM mattress in their trailer. What did you replace it with, any issues?

Thanks!

We bought the Costco King mattress and installed it in our 3120RL - great mattress!

Montana High Country 375FL ... swapped over to a Helix. Exceptionally good mattress, but also an exceptionally good price. Click here. (12 inches thick, sleeps magnificant! Very heavy! Worth every penny!) But when you sleep in the camper 300 nights a year, you want something superior! Also, got one for the house for our bed room. Again ... not cheap. But well worth the cost.

Our rig needed the king mattress with the radius corners, so had a custom latex foam mattress made. Weighs much less than the original inner spring mattress and we sleep great on it. Your rig either came with a queen or the optional king, so you just need to sleep around at a big mattress store to sample what works for you.

My wife likes a very soft mattress, back trouble. I like a soft mattress. My point is you can’t know what mattress will be comfortable to you until you go lay on them. Everybody likes their mattress but they may not fit you. Go check, lay on them.

Sam’s 12” foam mattress we bought in 2014, had it transferred to our current RV by the dealer’s strong young backs. We also have a 3” cooling topper on top. It is very comfortable.

We took a 2 week trip Fall of 2021 and after about I week I told DW that I noticed I was not waking up sore and stiff, feeling like I had played a football game all night - which is the way I feel sometimes from our Temperpedic mattress at the S&B. We have tried out Sleep Number beds twice in the past 15 years. I felt like I played the football game and LOST!

We knew someone with a Wilderness RV Mattress and it felt good and they loved it so we looked into it. We were a little concerned about buying online but their full refund policy without having to send it back enticed us to give it a try. We were just saying that having been sleeping on it for the last 3 weeks again, we might buy one for the house when we get home in the spring.
We went with the Montana Hybrid in RV king. I’m tall and I figured if it was too long, I’d trim it a little. When the slide is in, it scrunches up against the dresser a little more than the original mattress but no issue. We’ve had it for over a year now.

We have several custom shops in the area that make mattresses. We got exactly what we wanted with guarantees.

Mattress Insider. They have many sizes of RV mattresses as stock items or can build any size shape you want. Measure yours and see if they offer the same as a stock item. We ordered ours from them and love it. Its actually an innerspring mattress with excellent support. Good prices and fast shipping.

Short story.

We went to our local mattress store. Picked out a regular Queen size mattress that we loved.

Husband measured then sawed off all that extra King Size RV Bed wood.

POOF, we put our new mattress on. Gives us extra room to walk around too.

Hope it helps.
