Emergency use cable ends

I finally got around to making a batch of emergency cable ends. If you requested a set and haven’t got them PM me so I can get them to you.

They are cable ends for the cable slides for a High Country or Montana bedroom slide in case one cable end breaks especially if you are traveling. With something to cut the end of the cable off you can repair it in a few minutes.
I say they are a emergency repair because I don’t know how long the cable might last after you install one of these ends. If someone has a cable going bad I would recommend purchasing a new cable instead of repairing one.

Lynwood sent me a set years ago, I carry faithfully. There is a cable repair kit available on Amazon as well, at least there used to be.

1retired06 can probably post a picture.
It isn’t much to them a T shaped piece of steel about .4 long with two 10 32 tapped holes and a 1 3/4 long piece of steel with three 10 32 holes and a 1/4 20 taped hole in the end to hold the cable adjuster. Both ends are 5/8 round steel with a through hole for the cable to go through. They are simple, you just need a machine shop to make them and that is why I made them. Not everyone has a machine shop especially the full timers. Kinda heavy with out being overweight.
