Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians we met at the rally. Everyone was extremely friendly. I always find that the case when I travel to Canada. Hope to see you again someday.

We hope you have a nice holiday.

Carol

I was not aware this is Thanksgiving in Canada and would like to add my "Happy Thanksgiving" as well. Thanks to Carol and Chuck for pointing this out.

We also very much enjoyed our new Canadian friends at the rally. There was, what, four or five couples from Ontario? What super nice people they were. Hopefully we've added them as friends.

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. Canadian Thanksgiving holiday is actually the second Monday in October, but Churches and many families have their Thanksgiving celebration on the Sunday.

Because the date usually coincides with the peak of the Fall colour, (at least in S. Ontario), many families make it a last camping weekend and have a Thanksgiving Dinner in the great outdoors. We did not do that this year, but have in the past, and have had some glorious weekends (and one when it snowed!) We may go to the Niagara Falls KOA later today to join some of our camping friends for the evening.

The history of Canadian Thanksgiving is a little murky, but it seems to have been derived more from English and other European Harvest Festivals, than pilgrims and turkeys, but the end result is pretty much the same.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm not one of the Canadians that made it to the rally but hope to one of these days.

OntMont, you'll have to visit us at Fifty Point Conservation Campground next year. We've had our Monty there since July this year and plan on parking her there again next year, probably the last week of April. Glenda will still be working and it's an easy commute for her from there.

We pulled Monty home today. We will either sell her or trade her this fall. I'll wait to see of Montana has any new floor plans for 2005 but if not I think we'll order a 2980.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian Friends. Met a lot of good people on our way to Alaska in 2001 and 2002.

Happy Thanks Giving...
Even if there aren't any Pilgrims, I'm sure the get together and the eating is about the same... and that Last Camp of the year tradition sounds wonderful!!!!!
