New Mountaineer 319BHS

Hey everyone! We bought an '06 last November. We had a 24ft Tahoe light as our first 5th wheel and after 12 days traveling from California to colorado and back last summer with the kids we knew we needed something bigger. Went to the Pomona RV show last October and after looking at every bunkhouse fifth wheel out there, we knew the Mountaineer was for us. We loaded it with all the options available and took delvery just before thanksgiving and have been taking it out at least once a month since then. Really inpressed with the quality. Everything works the way it is supposed to.

I just discovered this forum off of Woodalls and joined. Not really the kind of guy to join a club based on something I own but it was good to be able to read other folks comments on something that I am now familier with.

My boys (ages 5 & 7) really love the bunk house. i don't understand why Montana does not build a bunk house but i guess it comes down to what a salesman for either Cedar creek or Grand Teton told me at the RV show. "People with kids don't want this level of 5th wheel."

Put me in my place, anyway I was able to option it as close to a Montana as possible and enjoy the same quality.

Great to join the rest of you as Montana / Mountaineer owners.

Welcome to MOC and congratulations on your Mountaineer! Bunkhouse models are indeed popular. Marsha and I have one son, but we have never wanted to give up the space that bunkhouses require, especially since John appears to be comfortable sleeping on the sofa—we do not even fold the bed out!

I think you will be glad you joined over the long haul. This is an extremely informative, pleasant, and fun forum.

Welcome to the forum. You made a great choice, if my kids would have been younger I would have looked at that unit as well. It's a nice setup.
