Question for 3670 owners
Now that we have more than 2000 miles on out trailer the only problems we have are the Quest 2000 seems to be dieing a noisey death(just past the 90 day warranty) and the problem I'm asking about. The assist handle folds over the slide and is rubbing through the paint. Even if the slide were close with the trim up to the side of the trailer it appears it would rub. I'm thinking something is missing like a spacer on the handle. Anybody have a similar problem?

Ishler,
We have same problem with the assist handle. For now, we are ignoring it. Not sure why, we just are!

Okay I have a question. What is the Quest 2000? I have a warranty card for Quest and couldn't figure out what it belonged to.

The Quest 2000 is the DVD player/surround system.

Same trouble with the handle. Also ignoring it for now until I figure out what to do with it. Our radio is still going ok, but we have only used it a half a dozen times. When it goes I will put in a decent unit.

We had the same problem with the assist handle and our dealer put a spacer behind the handle so it sits out farther. They also changed the bumper on the slide to a different position.
It has worked out so far. However, we have a Big Sky 3670RL stored at the same location that we keep ours and their slide fits tight enough to the wall that they do not seem to have the same problem.

We had the same problem with the assist handle. Our dealer put a rubber bumper on the slide edge where it was rubbing. I don't think it's very attractive but it has been effective. He thought spacers under the handle might have to handle a lot of stress and didn't think that would be a good idea. I'm not sure I agree but haven't changed how he set it up.

I'm really confused now. Quest can't be the DVD - that is Quassar. DVD don't have assist handles. - So is Quest the fold back handle at the entrance?

Sorry for the confusion. On our unit the DVD/surround sound system is a Quest 2000 and apparently not highly thought of and ours is dieing. The other problem that concerned me was with the outside assist handle and it's apparently a common problem with several possible solutions. Hope that clarifies what I was saying.
