Air-Ventalation-How Do You Do It?

Okay, I'm coming into the 5th wheels blind. I moved up from a 26 ft T.T.

I had the crank open windows on my T.T. My new 3400RL has the slide windows. In the past I always left a window open no matter what the weather was outside in order to AVOID it smelling musty inside (just a crack) Never allowed smoking in it either.

So my question is, how do you do this on slides? If I leave a slide open won't the rain get in??

I see alot of people are going to those air max lids for their vents on top. Maybe this is what I need to do also.

Please let me know what you all do.
