Furion TV Problems

2018 3810 ms. Our two 32" furions do not have full screen pictures. There is either a black band on both sides or we change to "letterbox" to fill the screen. Very annoying. Our big living room tv has no problem-edge to edge full picture with no distortion. NO ONE from rv dealer to local furniture shop who sells Dish has a solution. We have not pulled out the furion and substituted a Sony/Samsung/LG etc. Anyone have any ideas?

So it’s resetting every time you turn the tv on? Otherwise leave it on letterbox. Does it do this on the antenna too or just on satellite? Which dish receiver is it? The Wally is very different from the 211z. It maybe a setting in the receiver. I’ve had to play around a lot with the 211z to get it right. Sorry, more questions than answers.

We don't have a Furrion but most TVs have a setting that will change screen dimensions. The old setting, before flat screens was 4:3.

This is copied from Samsung:

  • 16:9: Display the picture in widescreen aspect ratio.

  • Custom: Customize the aspect ratio manually.

  • 4:3: Display the picture in Standard (low-def) aspect ratio. Suitable for VHS and standard-def broadcasts.

  • Fit to Screen: The full image will be displayed. No part of the image will be cut off.
Note:The availability of this function depends on the Picture Size Settings.

  • Zoom and Position: Adjust the picture size and/or position.

If it's set on 4:3 and sometimes 16:9, you will see side black bars.

Some remotes have a button to change that screen size, others have you go into the "SETTINGS" menu.

Hope this fixes yours - we love the OE midline VIZIO in our HC
