Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your new Montana! Congrats on your imminent retirement too!
Tip: Use your new Montana as much as possible before hitting the road long term after you retire. It's important to flush out the problems and make personal adjustments to your camper. You will make changes and there will be some necessary fixes. It takes a few months to get thing settled and streamlined in a new camper. So use it as much as possible now and get to know it well before hitting the road.
And... when doing so, have a great time doing it too!

Welcome aboard! You can see from my signature that we have the same rig. We bought ours new in early 2019 and retired the next year. Our HC has been a good unit and we have been very comfortable in our various travels.
It needs a one ton truck, for sure. We moved from a 3500 SRW to the DRW to gain stability in high wind driving. We love Utah, Nevada, and Idaho but the winds can be brutal. The DRW makes for a much more relaxing drive.
Enjoy that new 5er and your pending retirement.

Welcome to the family Ed, and congratulations on retiring......yahooooo. I hope you get plenty of use out of your trailer. I'm pretty much retired, with a little side gig I work part time, and we use our trailer almost monthly.
