I need to replace my water pump. Any suggestions on the "best" and "Quiet"?

Norman,

I replaced with Shurflo when mine starting leaking. Did you pump fail or is it primarily a noise issue?

There are many suggestions to quiet the pump including better isolation and adding an accumulator. You also may want to add an inline filter. Search the forum for more thread on the subject.

Low pressure -- not enough to shut off. Filter is clear.

That could also be a leak or your water valves in the wrong position. The pumps are low price and easy to change so not a bad place to start.

I have check water valves positions and no water leaks - no water on the ground after 12 hours of pump on.

I would replace the pump. If it still acts up, you could have an air leak on the intake side.

I installed a Sureflow Revolution, much quieter than the Flowjet that came with my unit. Also did some other things to quiet it; you can search and find them.

I took a recommendation off this forum from Arkware. It was a great upgrade.

Our current Flojet is beginning to fail.
We bought a Pentair SHURflo 55psi, 3gpm pump as a spare.
I've used it with the water bladder as a transfer pump (we have been dry camping for the last month in Canada).
When I turn it on I have to put my hand on it to tell that it's running it is that quiet!!
