Good Sam VIP insurance experience????
Hi all Does anyone have experience with GS insurance? Was getting quotes yesterday for our two vehicles and 3400 when mail arrived with GS insurance junk mail in it. Just for chuckles I called and low and behold they were $1000 less per year than the other quotes I got. Is this one of those "if it sounds to good to be true" things or is it the way to go? Any comments appreciated. Thanx Dan

I had GS insurance for one term of six months on my truck. It was higher than any other insurance I had before or since.

I had GS insurance (GMAC) on my TT (SOB) for a little over two years. The TV was insured by GEICO. Had a $1,800+ claim, (my fault) that was handled smoothly and efficiently.
When I pulled the trigger on the Monty and the new TV I got several quotes and GEICO gave me slightly better coverage at a significantly better price. I've been with them for 17 years with a couple of claims, all handled with a minimum of fuss. Their road service has also been excellent when I've used it on the cars.

Had GS (GMAC) Ins. for 7 years on all my cars, truck and 3400. I requoted my costs every 12-18 month and found nothing cheaper. State Farm (who has my stick house) has been chasing me for years and just last month beat GS by about 3 hundred+ so I change to State Farm. Had several minor claims with GS and not too much problems.
I can say my rates did not raise up much on the 7 years, so all and all I was happy with them.....Good Luck and just shop and compare !

GS was the highest cost when I shopped for insurance. We went with Progressive for less than half the amount and got full relacement coverage.

Are you sure? The reason I ask is GMAC/GS is a one year policy, where everyone else quotes for 6 months.

The only problem having State Farm is that if you decide to full time in your RV they won't cover you. They do not insure full timers! I've been dropped twice by State Farm when I full timed in an RV. And the first time, I still had a stick house. But because I was living full time in the RV for one year, they dropped us.
