auto level control panel and popping noise's

Hi All,

We have had 3 days of heavy rain. I just was outside and I noticed some water dripping out of the little area that the auto level control panel is in. The panel got a little wet. Is this OK? Its wasn't soaked but well damp. I wipe it off and turn the panel on and it all seem's to work. I didn't run the level system, but all of the panel lit up. Also, we get a pop or a bag from one of the legs from the level system. What's that about?

I own a Montana HC (my auto-level jacks are electric), but I believe yours’ are hydraulic, correct? If yes, I’d recommend a few things:
1. top-off reservoir with Lippert Anti-stiction/ Fork oil
2. use 2x12 board(s) under the jack’s legs (to prevent over-extension of legs)
3. “reset” level (go through the steps on your panel to “find level”, again)

If the jack(s) are over-extending the least bit, and needing a tad more oil than they have available, this can cause the “pop” sound (as sometimes the hyd. jacks are getting air (instead of oil)).

The "popping" noise in the hydraulic Level Up systems is due to stiction and changes in temperature. Do a Search on Stiction to find many, many discussions. LCI published recommendations for the phenomena. The following link has a link to the LCI PDF and more information.
