In Northern California are Lassen National Park and Lava Beds National Monument. I think one of them has actual bubbling mud pots like Yellowstone. I didn't know anywhere else had them. Check the weather conditions tho, as Lassen has a higher elevation road across it and when we were there in late May, it wasn't open because the snow was still several feet high!!
Of course, the coast in Oregon. Several nice RV parks along there. Oceanside RV Park in Coos Bay is on the ocean, but you can't see it thru the sand dunes. But the cleanest beach I have ever seen and it is in an inlet. Several other nice places further up the coast.

We like Sea and Sand. We are checking for reservations at Cape Kiawanda in Pacific City around Labor day for a couple of weeks. Travelling oregon coast is beautiful. If possible, travel south as it is much easier to pull off for viewing the scenery. Enjoy!

You might check out Mt Rainer in Washington state and or Mt Hood in Oregon. Both have RV parks nearby. Probably more to do near Rainer but both have a lot of nice drives etc. some train rides wine tasting etc located near them also.

Pacific Ocean. When on the 101 and 1... Pull the rig on the 101 and do day trips. When these 2 routes run together you will be fine.
And ..it will be similar to driving in the Ozarks.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. As I continue to plan this trip it is obvious we didn't allow enough time. Jim

No one mentioned the National and State Redwood Parks in Northern California.
Then there are always the multitude of waterfalls in Oregon!
Washington has many, many islands and the most northwestern part of the USA. I understand Seattle is a sight to behold. (Not sure we will get there!)
We have friends that took a whole month on the California/Oregon coast and still left more to come back and see!!!

Hope you get to Sequim, WA--Olympic Nat Park, Rain Forests, Neah Bay with great Indian museum, Cape Flattery. Also cross the Straits of Juan de Fuca for a day trip to Victoria, BC with beautiful gardens. Check our trip journal for camping locations. Also Lewis and Clark site and Maritime Museum -- all in or near Astoria, Or.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. We are sitting at Winding River Resort with the Rocky Mountain Regional Rally. We were concerned with all the fires and smoke in Washington/Oregon area. Best I can tell from different resources it appears rains have cleared much of the smoke. If reports remain good we will head west Sunday morning. Jim

In addition to the above, don't forget Crater Lake.

Must see Cape Perpetua, fabulous views but don't take your 5th up there, stay in a local camp ground for this.

Another one is Bernie Falls in the Lassen area. Do not use the 199 route with your 5th wheel it is so windy and has a lot of switch backs, I know from experience.
