Heading north

Plans have changed so we are leaving the warm confines of Fl for the cold and snow of Il on 3/28.

Warning, I heard there is some anger that the Groundhog was WRONG this February and that winter is sticking around longer than the poor rodent predicted. It's so bad, I even read a local politician is seeking some kind of legal process over it.

Be safe and you just might realize that cold and snow you are expecting. Please go easy on old Phil, the groundhog. He's old and doesn't care as much because he's got a great fur coat.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to have some snow left when we get home

Should be snowing up there again in the next day or two. Be Safe!

Last week we had to make a rush trip to Ohio. Left the Big Sky in Florida. Rained most of the time, but I'll take rain and 70 degrees in Florida over 30 degrees and sleet in Ohio any day. Now we are starting north, but we refuse to travel north of 50 degrees F.

We have enjoyed our winter home in Fl but have decided it's not for us. When we go back this winter we are going to put it on the market and hopefully not take too big a hit. We really love our home in Illinois and traveling with Monte but can't afford to continue supporting 3 homes.

LOL Phil, if the burrow fits.... naw, just kidding! I should have specified Punxsutawney Phil, but at the time I didn't want have to look up how to spell that first name. For you Phil, as you can see, I looked it up. Fortunately, last I checked you don't have a fur coat, but do keep your shirt on so I can't tell. I'll go back in my hole now.
