Electric Fireplace Insert Help needed

I have tried to search here for the fireplace insert models used in the small cabinet under the entertainment center for the 2955 or 2980 Montana models.

I need specific information on where to buy this insert, the model number, cost, and any information on how to install them.

Thanks for your help.

Here is one you can check out, the measurements are from the outside of the flange and the fire box is smaller.

This is what it looks like in our rig. The hardest part was running a separate circuit for the fireplace.

Robbie,

When I was getting ready to put one in our previous 2955, I was limited to the width and had to go with a 23" like the ones here by classic Flame or Dimplex: http://www.electricfireplacesdirect....PROD&ProdID=64.

The Dimplex model requires you to build your own trim system of metal, tile, wood, or whatever. The Classic Flame has a black trim already.

The 26" Larry shows is ideal, but I never pursued it far enough to see if it would actually fit in the cabinet with significant modifications. The 23" will drop right in. I see now they even have an 18".

Have fun and enjoy it. We ended up just getting a new trailer with a fireplace, so I never did install one in the 2955. Had the fireplace on a week ago tonight when fog rolled in the drizzle and temps dropped to 40. ahhhhh - makn me sleepy

Brad and Larry,

Guess that is my question, which one should I get? The inside measurement is 22 inches....I see there are several outside treatments, but I have to decide on the inside dimension first. The classic flame or the dimplex are more than 22 inches...what should I do, then? The 18 inch one might be the only option.

Brad, was your 2955 also 22 inches wide in that space?

Thanks guys...

I installed a 23" fireplace from http://www.westfurnishings.com/elfiin1.html. We really like it and use it quite often. Some fireplaces don't have glass on the front, but this one does which helps to keeps dust and the grandkids out. I had to remove the back of the cabinet, the bottom shelf, enlarge the opening, and then added some trim around the fireplace.
