BEDROOM TV T0 LCD ho ho ho

Here it is the answer to changing the conventional TV to LCD.
First you have to convince the DW that the weight on the hitch is way to much.......Then you need to weight the current TV. LOOK 37 Pounds. Then weight the 20 inch LCD HMMMMMMMMMMMMM 16 Pounds.
The improved safety factor 21 pounds. That means MORE PURSES...
Here are the picture's.
Keep in mind this old Copper is not a Carpenter....

I have to buy the lower 3 1/2 trim. the Sharp (AQUOS) model LC-20B4U fits in the cabinet just perfect with about a 1/4 space top and side's.
AND JUST LOOK AT WEIGHT SAFETY FACTOR.....
I hope this helps those that are thinking about switching over
safe travels my friends and this Mod will be demonstrated in BRANSON MAY 2008

Nice job, looks like there's enough room under that thing for a second sat rcvr or VCR/DVD player. Kerry ( old TV going outside in the under belly for outside viewing ??)

John,

That will look very nice when the bottom trim is added. We put a LCD in the bedroom and mounted it to a door I made for the cabinet. The LCD has a great picture and weighs considerably less than the old tube TV. Also, can't tell from your pictures, does the TV pop out of the cabinet for viewing? Great mod, wish we could make it to Branson to see it.

Lamar, The LCD is mounted on an swivel arm, that Ozzie had used to install his LCD. it pulls out and bends any direction you want..The Brand of the arm is Premier. for 17 to 40 inch LCD's. I got it new in the box, from www.amazon.com for $64.00 I think shipping was free at the time. Kerry your right the space below, is sufficent for a DVD player. ONE STEP AT A TIME...ha ha

Send a message via MSN to Ozzie
...so the weight trick worked, eh?
...or was it the talk about purses...

Now you went and got yourself spoiled John...there's no turning back now...next up will be surround sound.

I'll let you in on a secret...I used the weight consideration at home for ours. Wifey figures if I want it that bad I'm gonna do it anyway, so she just humors me...

Way to go buddie...
