Surge Protectors

I have a question regarding Surge Protectors. I have a 50 Amp coach, if I get a 50 Amp Portable Surge Protector and go to a 30 Amp CG and use a 30 Amp adapter, will the 50 Amp Surge Protector function properly while connected to the 30 Amp CG shore power?

I'm sorry, I know this has been discussed many times before, but my search revealed only 3 threads and they did not address my question.

I have been able to use my 50 amp Surge Guard with no problem even when hooked up to 30 amp power in the campground.

I would think the 50A surge protector will work on a 30A feed from the CG. I hard-wired a 50A surge protector in, so that it wouldn't grow legs. The other way around would be a problem, however.

The 30 amp adapter is internally wired to provide power to each leg of the Monty's electrical system. The SurgeGuard will work just fine (I have a 50 amp SG and it works with 30 amp adapter).

Thanks. That's what I thought, but not sure.
