2020 RAM with Ram air suspension
We have just purchased a 2021 Montana H/C 331RL. I have towed it 3 times for short distances. Each time I have unhooked, the rear truck suspension “bounces” for about a mile and then just starts riding smooth again. I have spoken with a Ram tech and he has no idea. I have spoken with a dealership and they are clueless. Any thoughts here?

Chief,
Is this a 2500 or a 3500 SRW or DRW?

Are you in Normal Ride height or Alt Ride Height modes?. To me, Alt ride height is a lot less bouncy. How are your payload numbers when loaded? I've seen all these can impact ride quality.

I ride in normal position and only notice the bounce after I unhook. The truck seems to ride normal while towing and we are good on payload numbers. We had a 2014 fifth wheel about 10,200 dry weight. I towed the 2014 twice and did not have the “bounce” after I unhooked

If I had to guess, sounds like the bags are still pumped up from the trailer. maybe after disconnecting, cycle alt then normal ride hight to reset the pressure. There could be a TSB to fix the issue.

Mystery solved! Carlrx7 you were right. I have to lower to alternate towing height by dumping the air out of the bags before I unhook from fiver. After unhooking I can raise the truck back up to normal and truck rides normal once again.
