Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2020 GMC 2500 Sierra DENALI 6-1/2' bed

Hi we are having trouble with our 2011 3400RL king pin box scraping the top of the side walls of our truck box. We have installed a CURT A30 hitch recommended by the dealer, but we have already damaged the top of the box. I believe that this hitch is not designed for our truck.
We raised the king pin box up on the camper, but is just too close for comfort. I am considering purchasing a REESE 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to eliminate my dilemma? Any concerns with the sidewinder feature?

This is an issue with GM trucks. The distance between the sides of the box is less than Fords, don't know about Rams. So that when you're making a tight turn, the back corners of the King Pin box hit the sides. Sounds like your's is just like mine, will just clear if on level ground but any dips or bumps it will hit.
BIL didn't listen to me when I told him to be careful and ripped into the side of his Chevy.
Don't know if the 5th Airborne would fix or not, I just try to be careful and so far have only carved up the mounting rails of my Roll-n-Lock cover.

The usual solution to this problem is to trim thhe back corner of the pin box. That allows it to clear the side rails. It happens on Fords too. \
Here is one Post on this.
