Thanks for posting Scott. So many, especially the young, have either forgotten or have never really been taught the true meaning of this day. Our thanks to all that have served!

Thank our veterans every day but remember today is a day of remembrance. To to remember and honor those we have lost. A somber day. Veterans Day is a day we celebrate and thank all of our veterans. With that being said, as a veteran I thank all veterans and ask that you take a moment today and remember those who paid the ultimate price and those we have lost years later. As for me I along with other American Legion and Patriot Guard members will be taking part in a ceremony at Omaha National Cemetery. Be safe out there today.

Here's a reminder of the purpose of each day honoring military members past and present:

ARMED FORCES DAY: Honors those who currently wear the uniform.

VETERAN'S DAY: Honors those who used to wear the uniform.

MEMORIAL DAY: Honors those who never made it out of uniform.
