Booth Dinette

Is a booth dinette really standard in the High Country fifth wheel? We are considering a HC for our first 5er and need a booth for extra sleeping space just a couple times a year. The website lists free table and chairs as an option but every HC we have ever seen in real life and on websites have free standing table and chairs. Dealer we visited has never seen a booth but agree it is supposed to be standard. I know when we get ready to order the dealer will contact Montana directly and confirm, but if anyone here has a booth we would be interested in hearing how comfortable it is for dining and sleeping. All I find in search is from 2011 and one recent but not HC and front kitchen (that one looks really bad!). Thanks.

My guess would be that the booth dimensions on a new HC would be similar to those on our 2010 Montana. If so, it's great for dining but would only sleep small children comfortably.

Thanks for the quick reply! We want it for our granddaughter so it should work for a while. I am still scanning the dealers across the country, if it is "standard" there should be one out there somewhere. Dan

It's probably standard but I've never seen a HC with a booth dinette. The table might be a "mandatory option". I always liked that. It's either mandatory or an option. It can't be both.

I think I'd stick with a free standing table and chairs, but I never had much use for a booth to start with. For a couple of times a year as you stated ... kids are very flexible and the floor suites them just fine. Mine GK's think an air mattress or a sleeping bag is living the dream.

That is a good point. This will be our 6th RV and all others had a booth. I can see where the table and chairs would be nice. Thanks, Dan

Our 16 HC has the booth ordered from factory that way as standard. We had planned on buying the optional table/chairs. After our factory tour and saw the standard booth we changed our plan. It is among the most comfortable booths/ cushions we have had. Plenty of room to get in & out, storage underneath etc. Of course like any booth bed, it's for smaller people.

Our 305RL was standard with table and chairs, we took to chairs out and it works a lot better for just the 2 of us. We looked into the booth and it was an extra $700 + and we decided no to. We did order ours and yes table and chairs were standard not the booth.

Finally found a HC with a booth dinette online. It is a 2017 370BR at Jamatt RV. It appears to be an exceptionally nice looking booth as others on this thread have said. Thanks for all the help. Dan
