Grand Daughter
Our first grandchild was born on Tuesday July 27, 2004. 7 pounds 11 ounces, 21 inches long. Ava Lynn is her name. Mom and child are doing great, Dad, and Grandparents are estatic.

Congratulations DHenry. Funny you should bring this up. We traveled to see our first Grand Daughter (we have 2 Grand Son's already, 4 yrs and 1.5 years, different parents). All I can say is, that when my son arrived at the end of the hall to show his new addition, he had to explain several times that it was a son, not the daughter we thought was to appear. So, on Wed. July 28th, 2004 we have another Grand Son, 8 pounds 4 ounces, 21 inches long. So we celebrate with you, and may they both live a long long healthy life.

Congratulations! Grandchildren are our reward for growing older. 
We have just one daughter but she has blessed us with 3 beautiful grandchildren and another due next year! They live next door and we see them all daily.

DHenry, you are going to find grandkids are lots of fun. We have 4, 9 yoa twin boys, 3 yoa girl, and 1 yoa boy. Remember, grandkids are the reward we get for not strangling our kids when they were teenagers. Enjoy

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We are having a ball. The baby is doing great. We can hardly wait for her to get a few months old. I forgot how much they sleep when they are newborns.
