Hi Steve and Vicki Tom here just thought I'd let you know how I enjoy seeing your travels. I'm nowhere near the end but I got through New Mexico, by the way thats where my is from. I was building government housing for the Air Force there. Anyway I can see I have a lot pics to go thru. Maybe one day my wife and I will run into you two when we finnally get our rig. Just wanted to say Hi and let you know how much I appreciate that info on the hitch. You two take care and enjoy. Tom n Phyllis

Thanks, Tom n Phyllis. Vicki does all the creative work, I just reformat and put them on the website. I think she does a great job and I enjoy going back through the earlier ones that have started to otherwise fade in my memory.

We enjoyed New Mexico but there is so much more to see there that we want to someday spend a lot more time there. We have very good friends in Elephant Butte. Darrell was my best man and we were in the Navy together.

We also want to spend a lot of time in your home state. We overnighted in Pasco then headed on through Idaho and into Montana this past few weeks. With our youngest granddaughter's first birthday coming up 6/25 (in Kansas City area) we just didn't have time to spend in Oregon and Washington like we originally planned.

Hope to meet you, one of these days, too. If I post we're going through your area, be sure to give me a holler. My memory is pretty bad as to who is where. As for meeting on the road, that sure can happen. We pulled into Hill City, SD, and an hour later another Montana pulled in next to us. Turns out it was another member! First time that's happened but it was a great experience to meet such nice folks like that.

Hope to see you

New Mexico was my wife's home state I was born in Calif. left home when I was barely 19 and wound up off the coast of North Korea asking myself what the hell did I do? Yes the next time you and your wife pass thru here give me a post I'd love to meet the both of you. Take care Tom n Phyllis

I was in the Navy from Jan 69 thru Oct 77. USS Harry E. Hubbard, DD-748, (just for 6 weeks), ComCruDesPac staff, DPSCPAC staff, then USS Sperry, AS-12, and, last, ComNavSurfPac staff. All were in San Diego except the Hubbard, which was in Long Beach. Spent 6 weeks in Long Beach, 10 days in Seattle, 3 weeks in Bremerton, 3 months in Pearl, 10 days in San Antonio (Navy sent me to an Air Force school). The rest was in San Diego. Total time was 8 years, 8 months, 28 days, and my total at-sea time was 27 days with no more than 5 days in any one "cruise".
