Had Surgery on left foot

Well on Monday I had a bone spur cut off the heal on my left foot. I had the shot last year in the heal and after new insouls and everything else I had to go for the surgery. So I am in a cast for 2 to 4 weeks then a boot but no load bearing for 6 to 8 weeks. I tried crutches for 1 day and now am in a rolling walker and will see how this goes. The doc also did some mussel work in the shin bone area but it didn't stop the restless leg yet so it is going to be a long 2 months. If anyone wants to do it it is very painful .It is a good thing we have no steps in the house as they are a pain. I don't know if I will be ready for the Tampa Show. sailer

John,
Take care of that foot. I understand that foot surgery is very painful. Get well soon. Dennis

sailor, I truely hope everything goes well for you.

In June of 2009, I had knee surgery on my left knee and was on crutches for 4 weeks. Since the week after Thanksgiving of last year, I have had both hips completely replaced. There is nothing more agonizing than, to not be able to move around without a good deal of work! So, I understand what you are going thru.

Take care and do as the doctor tells you to do. That is one of the things I have had to learn.

Dale

John-- We'll have a foot race when we get together. I just had my left foot worked on also on Tuesday morning. Had some repair done from a messed up hammertoe fix two years ago and work done on four of the five toes this time also! I'm walking but it's slow and with a special shoe to keep me off my toes. No cast like you however! Hope to be all healed and ready to head South by January.
