I do not use the Truck setting because that takes me on the truck route roads through cities. Those are the very rough roads, the ones through the ugly industrial and blighted parts of town. Rather, I choose the Bus setting. That keeps me on the major roads but does not restrict me to truck routes. I figure if a bus can do the road, so can I. When not towing I set it back to the Car setting.
