Doug,
We looked at buying one of those, but decided we would buy it if we needed it...well, we haven't needed it, yet. We looked at several Camping World's, and have not seen one yet; none of them had one in stock. I am guessing you can only order it online..not sure though.
Hope you get one, pretty sure it will get lots of use at Quartzsite. :-) BTW, only 98 days until the Quartzsite Mini-Rally!!

Doug, even if you don't use it for yourself you could compete with the other water haulers at Quartzite.

Thanks for the idea Brad. I knew there would be a way to pay for this. :-)

I bought one a couple of years ago and have used it on two occasions. It made the purchase worth while. I think I even got it on sale at CW. I also bought a 12v marine transfer pump at Harbor Freight to fill the RV from the truck. I don't like the idea of having all that weight on the roof of the truck, so I just lay it in the bed and use the pump. The pump also eliminates the need to get real close to the fill spout. I just use a lenght or two of my white water hose.
I think the pump was only $32.00.

How much does it weigh when filled with water? You don't travel with it filled do you?

Water weighs 8.3 pounds per gallon give or take a little for temperature changes. So 45 gallons would be a little more than 375 pounds with the container, 60 gallons would be around 503 pounds. Whatever you do, don't say that you are adding it to a 3/4 ton, that would introduce an opening for the newly formed water weight police!!!
