We're Parked for 2 years

As some of you know, we have been traveling for Carols Job, RN Travel Nurse, for the last 7 1/2 years. Well, Edinburg Texas Women's Hospital offered her a Staff Position with more than enough wages and incentives to get us to sign a 2 year contract. I haven't been on here much lately as we've been enjoying our Goldwing Motorcycle a lot since Feb. We have the Monty parked in a really nice older neiborhood out in the county east of town and will be living in it there for the foreseeable future. If any of you make it down to the RGV this winter, give us a holler and we'll get a cup of coffee or a beer together and set outside under our many shade trees. Won't be setting under the trees right now though as one of our thermometers said 113 degrees yesterday.

Congratulations on the new gig. Hope it's everything you want. Just remember to exercise your hydraulics etc every now and then and keep everything lubed.

Congrats I know the feeling, we may be here in Winchester Bay, Or for a couple of years. DW is still needing to be close to her specialist. So will be a while before we can do anymore traveling. It's a small area and plenty of Fisherman in the Park right now. They want to keep me happy as Maintenance man I am the only one doing it and we are getting a weekly supply of fresh from the Ocean and rivers Salmon and Crabs without the work to clean them. My Father in law and Brother in law are Local in Charleston and both have Smokers and will smoke as much as we want for a portion of the Salmon. Life is Good. Again enjoy you stay. P.S, I also am enjoying my freedom on my Kawasaki Vulcan classic 1500. My workshop is 20' X 25' So it will be protected from the Winter rains. We don't have even close to 113 degree weather here. Has never been over 74. Well we had a record high a month and a half ago of 91 Not seen for 10 years here on the Oregon Coast. LOL

Wow, I got up this morning and it was 76 degrees and only 80% humidity. I didn't know what to do with myself and it's only supposed to get to 97 today. Oh well, I just got to remember when most of you folks are freezing your butts off it's normally in the 70's down here. I guess we can put up with a little heat for now. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm still trying to find the "good" in stopping travelling. We sure have enjoyed seeing the country this last almost 8 years and meeting a lot of good folks here and all over.

I guess now I can try out my theory that window air conditioners are more efficient than these roof airs. I've got a 10x20 shed back home with a 5000 btu window unit that is only partially insulated and it keeps it a lot colder than the bedroom 13,000 btu roof air here in the Monty and uses a he!! of a lot less electricity.
