Check the position of the thermister on the fins of the refer. This could be part of your problem and may give you the extended time you need before heading for the dealer!

Gas and elec doing the same? Is it mounted in a slide with 2 wall vents. If so, do you hear the fans on the back of the frig running?

Have you looked in the back to see if anything is unplugged, like the fans? Have you hard wired the electric heating elements to stay on all the time?

Really need to know more about the problem other than it is not making ice. Do you have kids that stand in front of it with both doors open just looking for a treat?

Sometimes the fan in back of the unit is not running. You can add extra movement by getting a small 4 inch fan from Walmart and place it in the back blowing the air up to cool the fins in the back.

Just two weeks old so under warranty. Just looking for something easy that might have been missed at checkout. Milk is cold. Just a freezer issue

If you are running on electric, I would set the mode to LP and run on propane for a couple of days and see if that makes a difference. If the side of the unit where the fridge is located gets the majority of the days hot sun, and it is mounted in a slide with the upper and lower louvered vents then I would try removing them for the day and see if the additional air circulation helps.

I would not cut my holiday short, I would go and buy a bag of ice cubes for my drinks and keep the bag in the freezer compartment. Heck you can't be without ice for happy hour...

Jay, agree with
Ed on staying on vac.

Here's some links to look over: manual for 1210 series: http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PARTS/N...8/Default.aspx
FAQ's: http://www.thetford.com/HOME/CUSTOME...3/Default.aspx

Near
Service centers in E. WA? plug in your city to find closes: http://www.thetford.com/HOME/CUSTOME...8/Default.aspx

any fault codes on outside panel of fridge? 12V working ok? you need 12V to run fridge controls and to see what the fault codes might be?

Enuf propane?

Good Man! this Bud's for you!!! my Dad sold AB products for years Dennis

The thermistor is a little clip looking thing on the edge of the fins in the back of the refrigerator. Moving that will affect how cold the refrigerator gets.

Poor air circulation will hamper the cooling

We recently had a very similar problem. Same type of fridge in a 3582. Partial shade, outside temp around 100. Both A/C's running constantly, stuff stayed cold in loaded fridge but would not freeze ice for 30-36 hours and then not very solid ice. The frozen things stayed frozen but the ice cubes would nit freeze. The shop said that A/C's will rob amps from the fridge and suggested that on those types of days to use propane. I also learned that propane will cool a fridge down quicker than electricity. Once home I put thermometers in the freezer and the fridge and the readings on electricity in an empty box were 30 degrees in the fridge and 10 in the freezer. They said that the fridge should be 20-40. I added a small fan I found at CW for $12. I plan to use propane only on hot days and will see what happens.

After a little experimenting it appears that the freezer on the right is the issue. Not the left one

For some unknown reason the right side of the freezer is not as cold as the left. Ours is the same. Ice and ice cream we always put on the left freezer. Keeps everything frozen just takes a long time to make ice and ice cream soft.

Interesting that I had my freezing problem was on the right side as well. I wonder if there is something about the design of the box that causes the right and left to be different temps. I will bring my system back up and put a thermometer in both side to see if there is any difference

I measured the two feezer compartments and found a 3 degree variance between the two. The one on the left was 5 degrees and the one on the right was 8 degrees. This was measured after 24 hours on electricity with nothing in the refigerator or freezer. I am convinced now that the A/C was taking power from the frig as the shop described. My instance was on a hot weekend, 100 degrees, and both A/C's were almost alway on and then the frig was set at max also.

You might check the door seals, ours were not sealing, and my fix was to add rubber window insulation seal strips from lowes and that made a huge difference.
