I used to pull a set of commercial doubles and have seen many rear trailers drop out on the highway.

I dropped a 53' with 40,000 lbs once. The trailer stayed with me for about 300 yards before it broke away from my tractor. The weight kept it on the fifth wheel plate, luckly i hadn't reach the highway. Believe me,it can happen.
Someone distracted me during my hook up and I missed a couple of important procedures. That's why I laugh when someone saids you don't need a bedsaver if you do everything right.
S--happens.

Went right up to the factory here in Nebraska and picked up my bedsaver a couple of weeks ago. Haven't had time to install it yet but figured better safe than sorry! Plan on taking Monte out next month to a Fraternal Order of Eagles State Convention and want to make sure I get there all in one piece and with not dings to the Monte or the T/V.
