3121rl question

Just got a 2019 Montana 3121rl, will the rear hitch support a Honda eu7000 generator? I have a aluminum rack that will attach to the hitch

Bags,

Welcome to the forum!

I believe the receiver is only rated to 300 lbs so the eu7000 will be pushing it.

Welcome to the forum! Several folks have added a rack back there that had two recievers bolted to the frame on each side and a rack that used two receivers. That would do the job, but the hitch you have will toss bikes around let alone something heavy.

Just remember the rear of the rv is the roughest ride of the rv. There's a lot of bouncing back there. Look at it like riding a roller-coaster. The rear has a lot of whipping up and down. Be sure and give yourself 25 or 30% margin of safety. I wouldn't want to be behind you if the Generator decided to vacate the premise.

Probably not if the new ones extended just a little further. You might have to have someone weld you one, if the way the old one is in there won't allow a bolt on..
