This along with a bit of trip planning with MapQuest and Google Earth will keep you away from the low clearances and road construction areas.

We have been using the Garmin 465T (truckers GPS) since 2005 as primary . We also use the Google GPS function on the cell phone as well as a up to date atlas . We have a rest area app a fuel stop app the Waze traffic app. we use them all as needed.

We also have been using the Rand McNally GPS. It is the older 7720 model but has been working better than some other GPS's we have used. But like others, I check with a road atlas to make sure it is taking me on a good path with no unexpected surprises in store for us.
