Normal Goshen Rally Attendance?
With about 2 weeks until the deadline to pay the rally fees, it looks like there are only about 80 folks signed up. I recall being so worried about getting stuck on a waiting list.
Is this normal, or does it look like this year the numbers will be really low?

JandC,
I think this is about normal for the rally. Last year being the 10th, I think that was an exception. Looking back, the average attendance probably is where we are at right now.
Every year should bring more attendees as there is always something new to see and do and old friends we only get to see once a year.

Most years most everyone that wants to come has, as Steve said, last year was an exception.

My memory leaks like a sieve, but, I thought that everyone that wanted to come to the rally last year was able to do so, there were a number of last minute cancellations.
Or is that in another life I have lived?? (Don't ask! LOL)

You are correct Carol! Last year was an exception being the 10th Anniversary and all and we still had spaces left to turn in to the fair grounds. I think the normal numbers run from 80-90 and we have filled up the main camping area and also Harley Hill. Last year we used the Ring Road for extras we had come in for the Anniversary year. I'd like to fill our quota and use up all of our spaces reserved but if not we'll turn in the extra slots by the 8th of September at the latest.
Just a reminder for those that have already signed up and have not paid yet-- The cut off date for payment is September 1st and if we have not received the payment by then we will have to cancel your reservation! Sorry!!

As stated last year was the exception for attendance being the 10th anniversary. The normal numbers are about were they are now. It was several years before we got out the main area of 76 sites.

We were happy campers as we were on the waiting list and got to attend because someone cancelled.

While the Rally has been able to accommodate even late arrivals each year, it's important for the sake of planning that people respond in a timely fashion as some events are limited in size. From a personal prospective, each late registration and/or cancellation makes the job of creating the book and names tags a pita.
