The 2016 Mid-Atlantic rally in Georgia is coming!

Update on Stone Mountain

There has been very few rigs registered and no one has volunteered for any activities so I have not planned any activities. If you like, I can give the ones who attend some suggestions for places to visit.
We have been on the road since May 20 and I want to sleep in my own bed so I have canceled my site. I only live 4 miles from the campground so I plan on day camping with the group.

Sites have been released to public

I am looking forward to the MOC Rally here in Stone Mountain Georgia - July 2016.

Stone Mountain Campground Phone # 770-498-5710 800-385-9807

**** The unclaimed sites will be released June 14, 2016. ****

The Rally for July 23-31, 2016 -- Attendees can stay 2 days before and after the rally at the rally rate. (35 sites in Orange Section being saved )
1- Linda & David Williams Site 93 -- Canceled
2- Ed & Darlene Spradlin Site 91 -- Canceled
3- scott-pati July 21-Aug 2, Site 87
4- MADEFOREACHOTHER July 23-30 Site 32 -- Canceled
5- Mark Vicki Allen Jul 23 Site 85

The nightly rental fee on Trail "C,E,F" would be $45 per night (regular $55). Each site has Water, Electric, Sewer, Cable and Wi-Fi. They also have a Charcoal Grill, Picnic Table and Fire Pit.

The sites are being held in the Wagon Master name -- Linda Williams. You are expected to call to claim your own site. When you call, please identify yourself as Montana Owners Club member. One-night deposit of $45 will be needed. The unclaimed sites will be released 45 days before the rally (June 14, 2016).

The Gate fee of $15 will be waived to all your attendees with 15 sites rented.

When visiting Stone Mountain Park, you’ll find one of the natural wonders of the world awaiting you and we are just 15 miles from downtown Atlanta. The Georgia Aquarium, Braves baseball, CNN tours, Fabulous Fox Theatre, the Jimmy Carter Library, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, High Museum of Art and an abundance of Civil War sites and history are nearby.

Stone Mountain Park Tickets are for sale in the Campground Office to the attractions, two days for the price of one day. Adult ticket price is $29.95 + tax. Prices are subject to change without notice.

There is a Pavilion that could be used for your Group to meet, have pot luck dinners, play games, etc. The Pavilion will hold up to 200 people so there may be other Guests in the Campground that may want to use the Pavilion as well. Normally this is not a problem for Groups to set aside tables in one of the corners to isolate themselves from one another.

Stone Mountain Park Golf Club would love to have your group. To set up a Tee time 770-465-3278 – Does anyone want to coordinate golf?

If you want to suggest and help with activities -- contact me

Good to see this post. John and I were just talking about this the other day. Do you know what site numbers they are holding for us? Thanks!

Count us in! Looking forward to it.

We just booked, for July 21-Aug 2, site 87.

Here is the Campground Map - Click Here

It's a large file, so it takes a bit to load.

We signed up last weekend for our first rally experience and are excited to see Stone Mountain and the attractions in the area. We are arriving on Sat. July 23, and departing on Sat. July 30 and will be on site 32. When we called to make our reservations, we asked for site 89 and was told only three sites were reserved for the rally in that loop. After looking at their site map we thought it would be better to be away from the pool area and the park suggested 32 because it has a grassy area on the door side for our golden retrievers. Hope we have a good MOC turnout! We will be coming from the Florida Panhandle and should take close to 7 hours to get there- weather permitting. See you there!

We just found out this weekend that our daughter is getting married that weekend and Vickie won't let me go to the rally. Sorry we're going to miss it but Family comes first.

This is one popular RV park! I used the phone number from Scott & Pati's attachment and waited on hold for 25 minutes but I got it done!

We will be attending the Mid-Atlantic rally, arriving July 23, site # 85.

Just curious...What is the scope of the mid-atlantic group. Georgia seems to be more a southern region/SEC area if you eill. I always think of Va thru NY state as mid-atlantic.

Actually, this rally began as the Virginia Rally when it was resurrected somewhere around 2007, then became the Virginia-Mid Atlantic Rally and was finally designated as the Mid-Atlantic Rally. We have had the rally in Virginia, Tennessee and North and South Carolina that I know of. The regional rallies are hosted by MOC members who select the locations and the names do not necessarily have any particular meaning with regards to geography. If you are in the area, then it is inviting as they are a great time for all who elect to attend. We have attended several (prior commitments (DW - Beach, etc.) preclude us from attending again this year but we have enjoyed every one of the regional rallies we have attended since we are unable to attend the national rally because of DW's school schedule.

We have not done it yet but we will have to cancel our first rally experience with Stone Mountain Campground. We so much wanted to enjoy the rally and the Stone Mountain attractions. Our granddaughter will be graduating high school the end of May in northern Illinois and will use our vacation time to attend her graduation. It is a big deal because she was accepted to Yale University with a full four year scholarship starting in August and the whole family will be there to support her achievement. The campground rules will let us move our reservation to another date within a years time, so no money was forfeited. We hope to sign up for another rally soon.

Hi everyone! I just booked site 86 for the rally. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Due to my heat condition I won't be out and about much but hope to visit and meet everyone.

Safe travels everyone!

Anyone from anywhere can attend any rally. Name makes no difference and point of origin makes no difference, it is not about the name, it is about meeting great people who share a common interest.

Is the rally still on? I see not many have signed up and did not know if a minimum # was necessary. Are there planned meetings, events, etc.?
