Angry Retracting Hydraulic slides

2005 3475 RL is leaking hydraulic fluid when I try to retract the slides. Is there a way to manually retract the slides?

Thanks for the help

Nope, if the motor goes out on the pump you use a drill with a hex head to turn the pump but it is still hydraulic. Just much slower.

I may be wrong

I believe I read a post about this on this forum. It said it is possible to retract the slide by turning the pinion shaft with a wrench. It included a bit about opening the correct valve to allow the hydraulic fluid to flow. Maybe disconnecting the power to the motor but not the valves, then pressing the retract switch to open the valve. Some research on past forums may find it. A call to Lippert may be able to verify this procedure. Hope this helps.

If your hydraulic line is leaking so much the slide will not retract, then you have no real recourse. You must have hydraulic pressure to operate the cylinders. Sounds like a hydraulic line has ruptured. Try having a couple people pushing on the slide as jeffba suggested. That would lessen some of the pressure on that line. If that does not work, then replacing the hydraulic line is likely your only option. Call mobile RV repair if you can not do the replacement yourself.

A come along attached to the slide and frame, with another person holding the retract switch open will allow you to retract without extra help. You can also use it to secure the slide out while traveling.
