Lithium Batteries and 5vr Storage

The storage facility we store 3123 recently added electrical for hook up. Recently traded 2020 3791RD for the 2023 3123RL. 3123 has Lithium batteries. While in storage between trips what what should I do to keep batteries in good charge condition? I know little about lithium. Storage facility has 30 amp power service.

If they are charged disconnect them. If the are not charged, charge them and disconnect them. Really no different than any other type battery.

Just like your earlier rig, make sure they are fully disconnected so you don't have a parasite draw.

I leave mine hooked up. I see no reason not to.

Lithium batteries need to be kept above 32 degrees Fahrenheit when charging. If storing in an area where freezing might occur, charge them up and disconnect them. Lithium will maintain its charge while in storage, whereas lead batteries won't.

If you must charge them while the temps drop below freezing, use a tank heater pad to bring the temperature up above freezing. The pad is not required for discharge, just charging

For the last 16 years I have left my fully charged lead acid battery in the rig with the negative cable removed. Many days over the winter in the single digits. It has always had ample charge to raise the rig for hook up to the truck and to run a few lights.
