1 pound mullet fillets or other fish
2 tbsp.chopped bacon or salt pork
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups hot water
1 cup diced potatoes
3/4 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
2 cups milk
chopped parsley
If fillets are frozen, thaw. Skin fillets and cut into 1 inch pieces. Fry bacon or salt pork until slightly brown. Add onion and cook until tender. Add water, potatoes, seasoning and fish. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk; heat. Garnish with parsley sprinkled over the top. Yield: 6 servings
