slide- out pump leaking
Our slide-out pump is leaking where the metal pump housing and the plastic reservior join together. Has anyone ever changed this gasket? Thoughts?

The way that I read the warranty in my owners manual, the pump has a 5 year warranty to the origional owner. Bill

Our pump has been leaking for the last year and a half. I just keep pouring more atf in it. It is my understanding that it has an O ring to seal it up. I will be taking it in to the dealer in Spokane this fall if they are still in business by then. Like you we are the second owner.

George- Go to the Search engine here on the top right of the page and key in slideouts or slideout leaks. You will find quite a few threads and several cover the leak of the slideout pumps! Good luck!

Call Lippert, they make all that stuff. Ask them how you can fix it. I had a problem with my individual room controller (IRC) that could not be fixed and they sent me a new one...no charge.

I call Lippert, they said this pump was only used in 2003 and parts are not available. They said I could change and/or relube the "O" ring apro 4" and use Permatex flange sealant# 51531. This should get me a couple my years, the repalcement pumps are $1100.00.

Hi
Mine did just the same thing. So I took it out of the RV it is real easy You have two bolts to hold the uint in and 3 bolts to hold the valve body in do the valve first and then there is 4 bolts holding the tank on , then I clean the O ring and put it back together and no more leaks for now Hope this helps
