Traveling North

I’m a winter Texan heading back to Minnesota Wednesday. Traveling up 77 to Waco, I 35 to Topeka Ks, hyw 75 to Nebraska City, I 29 to MN 60 to Worthington MN. Anyone traveled a similar Route? Fuel stops, food, rest stops, and traffic. It’s kind of a crazy world out there right now but I want to get to the home base and wait it out. Any tips would be appreciated.. Travel safe.

Rest stop on 35 just north of Waco.
Kolachies in West if you can find parking
Take 35W through Fort Worth

Reading many posts lately, it seems most private RV parks are open. But some are apparently closing and some not closing but not taking new customers. I would try to determine the approximate area I wanted to stop and then google RV parks in that area (or use campgroundreviews.com) and start calling early in the day if not the day before.

Many, if not most, public campgrounds are closed.

Definitely I-35W thru Ft Worth and not I-35E thru Dallas.

Kansas fuel stops should be open, but restaurants are either closed or drive thru and pickup only.

Don't know about all of Texas, but in all the counties around the Dallas/Ft Worth area restaurants are drive thru and/or take out only. Some sit down restaurants will take your order and bring the food to your car/truck.

Texas said the rest areas are crucial to travelers and will remain open (at least of a few days ago). Agree with above, the rest area north of Waco, just south of Hillsboro is very nice. Texas does a great job of providing large clean rest stops. But that is the last one heading north on I-35. Next rest area is a few miles after you enter Oklahoma and it is also the OK visitor welcome center.
