Likewise, we will keep our 2010 3000RK, which is better looking and more trouble free. New colors on inside SUCK! Only a few more years of camping and our rig will do just fine.

My last was a HC and came with 1 piece of trim cut short and a piece of crown needed reinstalled
My 2019 after 168 nights has cap lights not working, 3 furnace vents not providing heat and install of the brake/backup lights missed the gasket and water got in~~ goes in for warranty next month

Bent Axle Addressed bu Local Shop

My brother-in-law purchased a new Montana from a local dealership here in Arizona. After his previous one had a bent axle and he ended up buying a new set of tires and having the axles realigned, out of pocket, he made a decision. He took his newest one straight from the dealership to an axle alignment shop to be inspected and checked for proper alignment. The shop told him it was out of alignment and they repaired it for $300. He took the paperwork back to the dealership and they addressed it with Keystone Customer Service. They refunded him the cost because it was unlikely he could have misaligned it in the 5 mile drive from the dealership to the alignment shop. I agree with the comment that delivering a trailer from Indiana across the country can easily misalign the axles and tires. Apparently the customer service people at Keystone don't realize the poor condition of some of our interstates, especially interstate 70.

fish, I read your initial comment but didn't realize that most of this thread is related to your trailer. I was going to make a comment about your first comment but there are too many comments, so:



I guess you need to get 'G' rated tires and rims and pray that the rest will work for a few years. Go to the I/S if you are having issues with the axles.

Something I forgot to put on the list of repairs and things that had gone wrong:

Bathroom fan quit last year. I replaced it with a maxxair fan. Much better.

Wow you’ve done a lot. How do you replace the mirror on the front cap? Ours is foggy and we can’t use it.

I got a new one from the dealer CW still in the box. What I did was sand down the area and use some silver paint to get the mirror look and pinstriped it. So far so good. At some point ill put the replacement back on.

I put on a set of Hercules G's on my trailer last year just before a 1200 mile vacation. So far I love the tires. The rolling resistance is half what it was as evident when putting truck in gear on flat surface, not touching the gas pedal, truck and trailer (3791RD) start rolling. My next upgrade will be wheels because the stock wheels will not support the 110 psig.

What wheels do you have? I insisted they check my wheels for compatibility with the g rated tires and they said they did.

My 14 ply g rated Hercules tires don't call for 110 pounds, if I remember right they call for 105 pounds.
Original f rated tires called for 95 pounds.

Last2Die, could not agree with you more! Keystone refused to pay us over $670.00 out of pocket, for work done on our NEW 2014 3725RL while under warranty. Trailer Life RV Resolutions tried but said that Keystone never responded to their inquiry on our matter.. LAST Keystone product for us.

Obviously the wheels have supported the tire pressure since last year and over 1,200 miles.

You don't remove the old one, it's glue-stuck to the body of your camper. You get a new one and simply stick it on top of the old one. Mine needed replacing too, ordered from my dealer, and when I saw it was nothing but a peel and stick, I just make sure the old one was cleaned and dried well before adhering the new one right on top. Mine was so easy, even a cave man could do it.

I know that you can get a direst replacement mirror. But with that said, I fiound that ours was so distorted that it is useless so I have a level pasted on it (no self leveling).



Couldn't you trace that existing mirror to make a pattern then take it to a glass shop and get a REAL mirror made. Way back, I had a '79 F350 with manual swing out mirrors for towing our Kountry Aire that I regularly broke. For not much money, they took my pattern and made up a replacement then use 2 sided tape or 3M extra heavy duty hook and loop material to attach.

It's got a little curve in it, can glass shops do that? I don't think I'm going to mess with it anyway, probably just put a decal over it if I find one I like.

Ours does not have any curve to make it convex. Might just be distortion in the crappy Chinese plastic. You can easily check it with a 6" scale.

Cute reply, but you would be wrong as I am not running full tire pressure. I'm running legal wheel pressure at 85 which builds up to 95.

I have been a Trailer Life reader since the 80's - but I read their reviews, opinions and resolutions with a grain of salt because they need the $$$$ from those same companies for advertising. I'm sure there is lots of "back scratchin'" and support going both ways.

I ran a tire shop for many years and we put 100 psi in the G rated tires. Unless you have 8K axles, that air pressure will work fine on those tires. I know the tire police will respond to that, but I’m telling you that in the real world it works. In fact if you weigh your trailer loaded, you can figure out how much per tire you are carrying and then inflate according to the weight you are carrying per the inflation table, or inflate them to carry 3,500 lbs and cover the capacity of the axle if you have 7k axles.

I've been told that under NO uncertain terms should an axle be jacked at any point but at the u-bolts holding the axle to the spring. These pictures show the bottle jack inboard of the slings. My axle shop in Wichita, KS was the one that pointed this out to me, with me even down in the pit.
