Trailer RotaFlex Pin Box

Took this off my old 5th wheel to put on the new one.
My Montana came with a MorRyde so this is for sale.
Only used it for one trip so it's like new.
Also have a capture plate that fits this hitch for PullRite.
This pin box is compatible with Lippert 1621.
Asking $400 shoot me an offer.
No Shipping.
I'm in Southern California.
Pictures in Gallery.

I'm sure someone needs it but California is a long way for most people. If you could ship it.

Between the two I can't say there is a difference. The Morryde is smooth but it is on a heavier 5th wheel than I had before. When I had the Rotaflex, it was on a Carriage Domani that weighed around 12K. My wife and I both noticed the difference in chucking without the Rotaflex on the Domani.

Since I use a pullrite superglide hitch, I had to forgo the side to side movement the morryde has and can only use the front to back cushioning.

The pinbox is very heavy and online the shipping is $150 so local purchase is recommended.

Montanas are now coming from factory with the Rota-Flex instead of the MorRyde pin box. I had the MorRyde on our 2012 and it was OK but I like the Rota-Flex better so far on our 2018.

Actually new Montanas are now coming with the Road Armor pin box. The Rota Flex was short lived.

I can't find a picture or description of a Road Armor pinbox anywhere. They don't even list them as a product on their webpage.

Are they similar to Rotaflex or Morryde in operation?

I think it is more similar to Rota Flex. Both are made by Trailair. I first saw a picture of it on Tiara RV site. As best I can tell the change was made around mid November when they eliminated carpeting in the 3790RD/3791RD along with changes to the window trims. Scroll through the photos on this unit and you will see a close-up of the Road Armor pin box: https://www.tiararvsales.com/product?id=702699
You never know, they might come back to the other pin boxes at some point. I guess it boils down to price.

You are correct of course, but it looks just like the Roto-Flex that came on our 3791RD built in September. Ours does have the Road Armor suspension instead of MorRyde.

I like the new window treatments (ours is previous style) but don't care for the carpet-free living area.

Just an FYI, TrailAir hasn't made a product in a number of years. Lippert bought them out and carries on the name. I believe that Lippert is now switching the TrailAir name over to the Road Armor name, but no matter what it's still coming out of a Lippert Plant, so they must have under bid Mor/ryde.
A couple of years ago DRV switched to Lippert/TrailAir Pin Boxes, but it didn't take DRV long before returning to Mor/ryde.

Yes, I misspoke and should have said Lippert makes them. TrailAir is simply a name brand.

My reaction to the carpet free living room was the same as yours. I then looked around online and saw that most of the similar companies such as Grand Design and Heartland now have carpet free living rooms for the most part. I just hope they don't have too many more "surprises" before I order my 3791RD in February. The carpet free living room can be tolerated by using a nice area rug. We recently purchased a nice size sheep skin rug from Costco that might also dress up that area. There are acceptable options!!
