Owners manual
Newbie here. I just sold a Grand Design and it came with an excellent manual with photos, diagrams of every part of the trailer in addition to the other appliance specific manuals. I bought a Montana HC 331rl from a person who used it 5 nights and decided he wanted a larger more expensive unit. He went with Jayco. So, I missed the dealer walk through and was expecting to learn from the manual. Of course the Keystone manual is pretty useless, I have not found a single item that I was interested in. Mostly obligatory warnings. Is there anything in print or online that could help me with anything? I wonder about things like what to do if the slides won't work. Etc. Thanks for your help.

Sadly you are right, there really isn't a model specific manual. It would be a nice thing to have with a new rig. The various component and appliance manuals can provide some help depending on the topic. The slides, for instance, should have a manual that is provided by the manufacturer of the cable system. Look for a BAL or Norco manual.
The best help is often this forum and YouTube.

You would think Keystone would provide a better book for our RV's. Its not like they are only selling one or two a year. If it wasn't for the good folks hare I wouldn't know anything about my RV.

How many have not bought a second one because of the lack of a manual might be a better question!

I used mine to start the camp fire with. lol. Just look up the model #s of all of the different items and print out there specific manuals. I have 2 binders full of manuals that pertain to almost every item on the camper.

Better yet DL the various manuals on a cell phone and store in organized folders on the phone, or tablet.
Then you won’t need internet service or cell phone service when out in the boon docks with no coverage.
Things will be easy to find
Highly suggest you DL manual for your slide outs and level up system and familiarize yourself with how to manually override these should the need arise..

What do you do when all the batteries are dead or your electronic device decides to freak out. Paper never dies.

I carry an iPhone and iPad.. the important files are DL on each so I don’t need to have service .. I can find any manual, service bulletin, Etc in seconds ...
I have a battery booster pack on cell phone so the battery is never dead...
Paper is good if you wanna sort thru it looking for something.. takes up space.
Then again... each has their preference... I’ve offered a second solution.. either works..
The important thing is to HAVE the manuals before you need them.. have the tools on hand... and take the time to educate yourself on each system and how it works and how to handle an issue should one arise..

And we should have to download manuals because? Because Montana can't afford to provide them to the customer. Why should a PDI take all day? Because the quality is so good? I love my rig but I got it from a friend. I had to repair a window in the door because it fell down into the door. double sided tape and it will never fall again.

There is no way I'm going to try to read a 50+ page manual on a small cell phone screen a 1/2 a page at a time. Hell I cant even read it without enlarging it. LOL

I agree the manual is pretty pathetic. Keystone could really use some input here! My 05 Tiffin, had full manuals for, cabin, chassis, engine, wiring diagrams with locations of components, a full page of all model# serial # of all components, from air conditioners, to DVD players.

Use the word search instead of scrolling through 50+ pages.

Lets face it, there are members here from all generations. Some of us are hands on, some not. Certainly the younger generations are more apt to use electronic devices for EVERYTHING. With that being said, at 58 I do not consider myself old at all and use my smart phone and computers for lots of different things.
One thing I'm not doing is picking up my $1000 cell phone with gobs of grease all over my hands to scroll through a e-manual on my phone while trying to find the info I need to complete whatever car/truck repair I'm doing.
I'm flipping through a paper manual that I do not mind getting messed up/dirty
