So just an update. Our washer and dryer are not on the 12v system And it will no longer work. I was getting power to the 12v wires to the fridge but fridge does not work. Those are out and I have a new fridge in. I've unhooked 1 battery and leaving the other one off since I'm on shore power. The Converter has been tested and works perfectly normal. This all stems back to the old plug wearing out and becoming loose in the threads. It melting and causing a surge to fry the fridge and washer and dryer. And we have a surge protector on order right now and will be installed soon.

Thank you everyone for giving me some good input.

By the sounds of it, when things melted or maybe before you lost the neutral and ended up putting somewhere near 200 volts into you appliances which they didn't like and resulted in frying them. Sounds like you're looking at an expensive repair replacing most of your appliances.
Once repaired invest in a GOOD EMS to protect you from such issues, cheap insurance in the long run.

We have replaced the fridge already. Not gonna do the washer and dryer yet. The park we are at as a laundry room. We wont do a new setup till we can afford a newer trailer.

No matter what you do I would strongly suggest buying a good EMS before you replace anything else. I am relatively certain it would have saved you from this occurrence and might again....and your new appliances.

I appreciate your input. We have one on the way and was told it was the bulldog brand and the only thing people complain about it is the bulldog face glowing white all the time lol.

Just trying to make sure it was an EMS and not just a surge protector. A surge protector won't do you much good.

Smile 90 degree power adapter

You might also want to invest in a 90 degree adapter for your power cord to take off some of the strain, and possibly keep the new power cord from doing the same thing.

I apologize for not following up. All kinds of things going on here and I'm neck deep at the moment trying to get things done to leave for FL early in the AM. I don't have time to re read the thread and hopefully someone can give advice. Simply, if your batteries aren't "holding" a charge, they are either unable to retain a charge (bad), being charged inadequately (converter/wiring etc.) or they have a large draw on them that they can't keep up with. Have you disconnected them from all devices to see if they hold?
