Good Customer Service

Most of us only post the bad side of things that happen. This is Atta Boy for Eric at Maxxair. We were missing the inside screen for our bathroom vent fan. Two calls to Keystone were a waste of time. They wanted for me to take it to a dealer, which would have required us to leave the camper. Then there were the trips to three different dealers , each saying that they could not find the part anywhere. I called Maxxair and talked to Eric in Customer Service. He was able to help me out with a replacement.
I don't understand why the dealers couldn't have done the same as I did.

And then there was Keystone who had left the cover of in the first place.

THANKS ERIC with Maxxair.

Just a quick comment on 'calling montana' for a part.

Montana is NOT a retail outlet, they will always refer you back to 'the dealer.' It shouldn't be presented as a negative, it is just the way most manufacturer do business because of a lot of reasons, i.e. taxes.

That may be true, but they were the ones that fail to install the fan with all "parts in place".
They are the ones that make you return the camper to a dealer to get anything done.

In most areas I'm happy with Keystone. I just think that there are areas that they could improve.

This is true...a likely will always be true. Every RV manufacturer will screw up, some worse than others, some more often than others.

In a competetive environement you don't have to be perfect. You just have to be better than the other guy.

We chose Keystone for the same reason in that they seemed to have fewer overall complaints about manufacturer defects and screwups than others in the same price range. I, too, would have liked a little better attention to detail. But if you buy from a good, helpful dealer you can at least get items addressed without too much grief.
