entrance door lock

has anyone else had a problem with replacing the front door lock?

i bought what i thought was the exact replacement lock but the screws were too short and when i tried to use longer ones the locking system didn't lineup with the door. the door seemed too wide.

are there different door locks?

My problem was that the deadbolt got jammed against the outside wall board and you couldn't turn it with a key, so a locksmith drilled out the cylinder. Keystone thru my dealer sent me an exact replacement. No problems replacing it but I drilled the hold where the deadbolt fits into the wall when locked much deeper so it could not get jammed again.

I ordered a replacement for mine from RV Locks and More. You can give them the number that you have on your current key and they will send you a replacement lock with the same lock cam. Have an extra set of keys that way. The replacement fit mine fine.
