Bathroom Sink-- CRACKED

While setting up today, a large can of hair spray fell out of the cabinet above the bathroom sink and cracked the sink in several places. Out came the duct tape for a quick fix that worked. I am looking for another sink but may not be in a hurry. Anyone replace one of these sinks? It does not look to hard--just a little tight spaces. We are in Harlin, MT, on the way to Alaska.

Sorry to hear about your sink, the more I hear about instances such as yours, the more convinced I am that I am going to have to install refrigerator bars or something in the medicine cabinet. Of course, that still wouldn't prevent slippery hand syndrome. There is a thread somewhere where others have had to replace the sink, didn't seem like it was a big deal, but not sure for your unit.

Sorry to hear about the sink, Tim. My problem is often my own clumsiness more than items falling our of the cabinet. However, it highlights the need not to store heavier items above the sink (including the kitchen area). I hope that this becomes the least of your problems on your trip. Best of luck

Yes I had the same problem with mine. I got a replacement sink from the dealer and put it in. It took about an hour total. They are made of very light material.
Good luck.
Six clamps screw into the bottom of the sink. The fixture and drain are easy to swap over. I did buy some "rope" caulk from the hardware store.

Brett's RV in Missoula is a Montana Keystone dealer. They may be able to get you one...I don't know how far Harlin is from there. Also, Pierce in Billings could assist as well..

Bingo, Vicki uses the refrigerator bars in the medicine cabinet when we travel for that very reason. Prior to the bars we had things fall out, too. We got lucky and didn't break the sink, though. Tim and Susan, I'm sorry to hear about your sink but I'm glad that if this had to happen at least it happened before you got to where repair parts would be hard to come by.

Tim and Susan, the same thing happened to us. Found a china replacement sink at Home Depot. Dropped right in the existing hole. It weighed a little more than the plastic sink, but felt it was well worth it. If I remember correctly, it was about $50. Only problem I had was finding the correct drain fitting and getting it to stop leaking. This is what Keystone should have installed in the first place. Good luck with your project.
