Kevin: If alloy wheels, 90% that they are good if hub balanced; if steel wheels, then 90% certain they are not good if hub balanced -- steel wheels are 'stamped' out most times and the center hub is not necessarily centered properly; alloy wheels are machined and better chance the center is correct. Read this on several 'after market' wheel sites when looking for some new wheels on an old jeep I had.
That said, when I had my Mountaineer (steel wheels), hub balanced and then lug-checked -- way out of balance. Now my SOB has allow wheels and hub balanced and lug checked -- right on the money.
