Couple of folks spent money on them in our snowbird park. At least here in Florida they are lucky to get a couple of seasons out of them.

I can't imagine how heavy the thing would be all folded up. Getting it up on the roof and then unfolding it...it would be a disaster for me. I seem to remember thinking about getting a cover for one of our previous units when I was in my 40s but I decided to pass based on the wind. I live on a grassland prairie and the wind blows A LOT out here. The wind would beat that cover and my fifth wheel to a pulp.

I have read as many negative as positive reviews on these, so I decided o save the money, time, and aggravation, and just do without.

I think that's a good idea. I'm good spending money on something I really need

Along with our 3121 Montana 5th wheel, we also have a Lance Truck camper which I cover in New Jersey for the winter. We head to Florida with the 5th wheel in the winter, so that never gets covered. We had a custom cover made by Calmark who I believe is in California. Very happy with the cover. It was not inexpensive, maybe around 800 dollars or so. (Dollar Key Bad). It is made out of a sumbrella type material which has held up very good. We are probably going on our 4th or 5th season with it and it is holding up. It's a handful to get up on the Truck Camper, but once there I can spread it out and cover the camper fairly easy. I would need a bit of help trying to put something like that on the 5th wheel. Can't imagine how heavy that would be. If it was canvas, wow.

I've made boat covers up to 27' with Sunbrella fabric. They last several years, even in FL. However, a Sunbrella cover for a 40' RV would be very heavy and would cost a small fortune.

If this is any help. I bought a large RV cover for my Boat. I couldn't find a boat cover that was big enough for the boat so I decided to try a cheaper RV cover just to see if it would work. This will be the 4th winter I have used the cover and it works great. My boat is parked and winterized out near the Northwest coast of Washington. Like I said it works great. We have some pretty big storms out there in the winter and the cover has made it through all of them.
