Anyone see this wire before

Changing my batteries today and stumbled across this wire I broke. Anyone know what is for? It supposed to go on my positive terminal post. I’m guessing inverter or link system.

It connects to positive post and then runs underfloor belly to somewhere.

was the eyelet hooked up? Was this laying in the battery area?

What year/model is your unit?

Yes it was connected. Just trying to find out where the other end goes. More digging tomorrow, but thought I would send pics to see if anyone seen this type of wire before. No power in the fifth wheel at this time so I don’t know what it’s affecting.

26 gauge wire is really small to carry 12v power. Maybe to power a camera on the back of your rig? Whatever it powered was always on...unless they put a switch in the negative/ground.

Propane detector maybe? Most of the wires disappear behind and under panels and no way of knowing what they are without pulling panels and tracing wires.

My thought also because the LP detector does not shut off with the battery disconnect switch in the convenience center.

As Rip mentions, if it really is 26 AWG something is amiss in your pictures. 26AWG wire diameter is 0.016", which is very small, but the image of the break looks to be a single, larger diameter wire. Most 26AWG seems to be multi-conductor cabling for signal, not for powering items in an RV, I believe. It's like telephone wire, or wire for watering valves for home use.

Your image also makes it look to be a flat wire vs round?
