Exclamation Help Escape window stuck open

Hello does anyone know how to close the emergency escape window on Montana High Country 340BH?

We opened it out to clean it...guess we went to far. Now it's propped open horizontally and will not close. I've googled it, youtubed it, asked in our FB groups and even called our dealer no one can help.

Any suggestions?

Just using our HC as a guide. the push rod for each of those 2 windows has a notch. By lifting it up by the red tab end it should release and clear the cut out and close. You may need to wiggle it some. Additionally, and again using ours, the so called 'hinges' are nothing more then two short pop rivets set in a notched rail. That may be jammed as well. A note here about that very low end arrangement - those rivets have a history of popping out of the rail as I found out. We didn't lose the window (~$300) but others have. I was able to Gorilla Tape it in place and did a repair at home - 2500 miles further down the road

Thanks for the info Dave. Can't seem to attach a photo but the window was stuck wide open horizontally. I was able to unscrew two small screws on the inside and it released it...but now it will not close the last 2-3 inches. It's as if something is catching again like it was when it was stuck open.

We fixed it. There is an S hinge on the very top of the window, that needs to sit in just so...after an hour or so of giggling it we got it in.

Happy to hear that you figured it out. Sounds as though Keystone/Hehr improved the design from the lousy one on ours
