Hydraulic

I have a pro elm with my hydraulic pump. It will run to lower jacks and put slides out. When I try to retract slides or raise jacks, the relay clicks but the pump doesn't run

If you are trying to operate or retract these items with the battery only, it could be weak. Check all the chassis ground connections by tightening. Infact, make sure all connections on the motor, solenoid switch (Trombetta) and battery are tight. You might also try, for the grins-n-giggles to plug the Bargeman into the recept on your truck. Could also be that, the solenoid switch is bad.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

If your hydraulic motor/system is the same as mine, the forward reverse on the motor runs from a dual relay, I am not sure which side is which but if it is clicking then it sounds like a possible loose connection to the relay or the motor. The fact it is clicking means the remote is activating the relay but appears not enough voltage to operate or the relay is not working properly.

As with any high current 12V you must be careful but you could jumper with a heavy booster cable from Pos to each post on the relay and see if that tells you anything. Jumper from Pos to each side of the motor would confirm the motor will turn in both directions.

I am sure you have done so, but check all the connections from the Batt to the relay and relay to motor.
