I can't believe they didn't mount your CAP lights, or did they come off? The feed for my top CAP led light is on the upper right corner of the CAP, and they are a ground wire and 12V+. In a sales photo, it shows the upper CAP led strip and then the two lower ones on either side of the CAP.

Make sure that wire dosen't sneak back into the cap. Hell to pay getting to the back side. Use RTV silicone to attach new one. Better to have Montana send it to you rather than the pain of waiting for the dealer to get to it.

I just replaced mine with a $7 LED strip from Amazon. The original sticky-back on the new lights didn’t last 100 miles down the road, but the Gorilla tape double stick works great— the box label says it has a 37 lb pull strength. I used scissors to cut two foot sections in half lengthwise for ease of handling and to match the width of the light strip. Took about 20 minutes plus one day for the Amazon delivery. Really easy. Trim to fit the end of the LED strip.
